Juxtaposing the nightmarish harshness of a child’s experience during the Holocaust (my mother and father), the impenetrable Castles which loomed over the cities and the laughable impossibility of fitting in socially in American high schools. Two histories, mine and my parents are anchored by eternal architecture, offering neither salvation nor comfort.
