Curiosity and ignorance are the chief motivations behind my Judaic pieces. When reading Torah, praying in schul, listening to a Rabbi speak, words or concepts or oddities tickle my consciousness. From there, its a long trip into research, dialectic, animated back and forth with scholars, more reading, until, voilá, a new series is born. I take all the research and sketch it into a series which illustrates my point of view. It is my version of D'var Torah (commentary). It is my vision and my opinion on text that I bring into visual life.
